5 Consejos Antes de comprar tu Primera Casa

Buying a house or home, whether for the first time or not, means one of the most important investments you can make in your life and if done correctly, you can use it as the basis of your family wealth.

Fortunately, Jose Diaz – Loan Officer is here to advise you on aspects of home purchase that you should not overlook. I want to share my advice with you before you start the process of buying your property.

My 5 recommendations are:

Pre-qualify yourself so you know your real opportunities: Your lender will check your credit, making sure it is in order, after calculating your income, it will tell you the total amount for which you can buy a house, but most importantly, it will give you a letter that guarantees your pre-approved position for a loan which sellers require before accepting an offer.

Hire a professional to advise you during the purchase process: Before you buy you should consider consulting with several real estate agents in your area. You must hire an agent or a team of agents, who is local, who works full time, who knows the market conditions, who can educate and guide you in the buying and selling process, who listens and understands what your needs are as a buyer.

Analyze the location of your property: In the real estate industry there is a very true expression, when it comes to buying a house the most important thing is the location, this can represent up to 90 percent of the total value of a house. So when you are buying a house, this detail must be taken very seriously.

Do not increase your debts: During the purchase process it is important that you keep your credit parameters intact since you could lose your house if a new change affects your ability to qualify for a loan. Do not accept new credit cards, do not buy a new car, pay your bills on time, do not withdraw money from your bank accounts, in short, do not take a financial action that you will have to regret later.

Carry out the inspection of your future home: It does not matter if the house is new or has been built for several years, the inspection will give you details of how it is built, if there is any problem now or in the future. Make sure the owner agrees to fix problems found during the inspection by signing the stipulation in the offer contract.
